TERI is seeking a CAL Behavior Support & Art Enrichment Professional to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a unique combination of behavioral support, direct care, community engagement, and adaptive art instruction.
In this role, you'll implement individualized behavior and support plans while using painting, drawing, mixed media, ceramics, and other creative experiences to promote communication, emotional regulation, social engagement, confidence, and independence.
This is not a traditional art instructor position. You will serve as a Direct Support Professional first, providing behavioral support, personal care when needed, transportation, documentation, and community‑based support while bringing your artistic abilities into the participant experience.
The professional implements Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), Individual Program Plans (IPPs), and Individual Training Plans (ITPs), provides direct care and community‑based support, documents participant progress, and safely responds to behavioral needs while developing adaptive art experiences for individuals with varying abilities.
