Job summary

Shady Maple is seeking an Icing Cake Team Member to finish cakes and bakery items by icing, decorating, and preparing products for sale. You will follow production sheets, maintain quality control, and transport products within production areas in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Responsibilities include decorating, icing, trimming, packaging, and ensuring product dates and rotation. The role requires standing for shifts, lifting light to medium loads, and collaborating with the team to meet

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and product presentation.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment.
• Maintain quality control and food safety standards.
• Willingness to learn multiple bakery production tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ice, decorate, and finish cakes by applying frosting, borders, writing, and decorative toppings.
• Prepare and assemble cream, custard, and fruit pies and cakes.
• Package baked goods, including shrink-wrapping, labeling, and pricing products.
• Utilize commercial bakery equipment such as icing tools, small mixers, double boilers, drazzlers, and shrink-wrappers.
• Follow production sheets to prepare the appropriate variety and quantity of finished products.
• Perform quality control tasks including product dating, rotation, and inspecting products during preparation.
• Transport products within production areas using wheeled carts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including stocking supplies and assisting with routine cleaning.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by management.
