Job summary

Lowes Foods in Pinehurst, NC is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk to greet guests and help prepare and present baked goods.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare product for sale (icing, decorating, pricing, packaging and labeling).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• Perform bakery clerk functions when requested.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Clean work area, tools and decorating bags.
• Rotate freezer by variety and ensure proper stock organization.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Inform supervisor of temperature breakdowns.
• Keep supply area neat and tidy at all times.
• Rotate icings and manage dates on icings.
• Read cake production sheets and use cake manual as reference.
• Write on cakes.
• Mix colors according to color chart and master airbrush use.
• Use cake production sheet for planning.
• Aim to meet budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the cake section.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Carry out Front Porch duties to maintain guest arrival standard.
• Announce specials and sale information on PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
