Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a friendly bakery clerk on site at Johns Island. You will greet guests, prepare and decorate bakery products, and maintain freshness and sanitation across the bakery area.

Role requires a willingness to perform various bakery tasks, read production sheets, and communicate guest needs to management. The team works to meet budgeted sales and ensure customer satisfaction with each visit.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare product for sale (icing, decorating, pricing, packaging and labeling).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• When requested perform bakery clerk functions.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Properly cleans work area, couplers and decorating bags.
• Maintain the organization of the freezer, including proper rotation of product according to variety.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keeps supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Properly rotates icings and scrapes down buckets.
• Use cake production sheet.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the cake section of the bakery.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs Front Porch duties to ensure "guest arrival" standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.

• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.


• Performs Front Porch duties to ensure \"guest arrival\" standard is maintained.
