Job summary

Food City is hiring Food Service Associates to deliver friendly, fast service and assist in bakery and food service areas. You will greet customers, take phone orders for cakes, decorate items, and maintain display cases with attention to quality and freshness.

The role involves assisting with rotation, dating, inventory, and ordering while staying flexible to work across multiple areas. On-site shifts and a friendly team environment are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide courteous, prompt service to support the mission to Run the Best Store in Town!
• Prepare and decorate products, including specialty cakes, cupcakes, and cookies; maintain display cases.
• Take telephone orders for food and specialty cakes and ensure on-time delivery or pickup.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, cases, and display areas.
• Assist with product rotation, dating, inventory, and ordering as needed.
• Cross-train in multiple areas to handle varying responsibilities.
