Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli/Bakery associate to provide quality customer service and maintain standards in the Deli Bakery Department. You will emphasize fast, friendly service, ensure proper sanitation, and follow Food Lion procedures to minimize shrink and maximize sales.

The role requires understanding production standards, using company tools, and completing required CBT and training. Candidates must meet age requirements and be able to handle physical tasks as described.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates
• Understand production standards for processing all deli products.
• Follow technical manuals for product processing and labeling.
• Ensure sanitation of the department and proper food handling.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, and display follow policies.
• Follow company guidelines and standard practices.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines.
• Observe unsafe conditions and correct them.
• Report accidents per Food Lion procedures.
• Maintain compliance with regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with proper name badge.
• Use ACIS and CAO tools for inventory and ordering.
• Complete CBT and training courses.
• Perform other duties as assigned
