Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a bakery team member to prepare and decorate cakes for various occasions and to keep the cake case stocked and appealing during shifts. The role supports cake orders, inventory, and sanitation standards while engaging with customers and teammates in a friendly, service-oriented environment.

Flexibility to assist in deli/bakery areas and to learn other bakery tasks is encouraged as part of development within Meijer Rewards programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in cake preparation and decorating.
• Ability to manage cake out-dates and inventory.
• Excellent attention to detail and creativity.

• Willingness to work in deli/bakery areas.

Responsibilities

• Managing cake out-dates daily.
• Receiving and processing cake orders.
• Managing cake and icing inventory.
• Managing cake decorating station including icing preparation and sanitation.
• Maintaining positive relations with customers, teammates and leadership.
• Stocking and maintaining product displays according to quality and merchandising standards.
• Potential to work in deli and bakery areas.
• May perform other duties as assigned or required.
