Job summary

Food Lion in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to provide quality customer service and uphold department standards. You will help maintain production and presentation of deli and bakery items, ensure proper sanitation, and follow safety and company guidelines.

As part of a fast-paced team, you will learn ingredient usage, label placement, and inventory procedures while delivering friendly service and accurate transactions to keep shoppers informed and satisfied.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service in the Deli Bakery.
• Assist associates and maintain sanitation.
• Understand ingredients, mixes, icings and coordinates colors.
• Understand production standards for processing of all product.
• Follow manuals for processing, labeling, etc.
• Ensure proper sanitation of department and equipment.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying merchandise per guidelines.
• Maintain understanding and adherence to company guidelines and standard practice.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions; report accidents per procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge.
• Understand and use ACIS and CAO tools.
• Complete CBT and training packets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
