Job summary

Vallarta Supermarkets is seeking a Cake Decorator to join our bakery team. You will decorate and display cakes and pastries, ensuring freshness and high quality while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Friendly, customer-focused attitude with a passion for cake decorating.
Knowledge of cake mixes, fillings, frostings, and decorating tools.
Experience decorating cakes or strong willingness to learn.
Ability to maintain quality and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and assist with bakery and cake orders, in-store and by phone.
Prepare, decorate, and finish cakes and pastries to requests and standards.
Merchandise, rotate, and stock products to keep displays appealing.
Follow health department regulations and company safety policies.
Monitor oven and proofer temperatures, prepare dough and batters, package/label.
Keep work areas clean; maintain a sanitary environment.
Communicate supply needs and help control waste and shrink.
Perform additional tasks to support bakery operations.
