Job summary

Kennie’s Market Inc is seeking a Cake Decorator to support the Bakery Manager in delivering high-quality decorated cakes and top customer service. You will take cake orders, keep the cake case filled, and ensure timely completion of special orders, while maintaining a clean prep area and cooperating with other departments.

The role requires basic education or experience, strong reading and writing abilities, and the physical ability to stand, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a busy bakery

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Basic math for pricing and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers at the bakery case.
• Take cake orders from customers.
• Prioritize and fill special cake orders for pickup.
• Keep the cake case filled.
• Clean bakery prep area and decorating tools.
• Cooperate with other departments during promotions.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Follow safety standards as outlined by the company.
• Work with equipment and in areas with heat or moisture.
• Work in a noisy, busy bakery environment.
• Perform other duties as directed.
