Job summary

Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Cake Decorator to join its Bakery Team. You will decorate and decorate pastries, assist guests, and support the team in delivering fresh, visually appealing cakes and desserts.

This role emphasizes guest service, teamwork, and maintaining high product standards with safety in mind. The position requires 6–12 months experience or completion of the Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months experience or completion of Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program.
• Age 18+ required.
• Up to 50 pounds lifting capacity.

Responsibilities

• Fill tables and cases with cakes from prep to sales area.
• Follow procedures to achieve out-of-stock goals.
• Apply merchandising principles to generate sales and WOW guests.
• Take special orders by phone and in person.
• Maintain product quality and dates in sales area.
• Prepare and decorate products for bakery cases and displays.
• Ice and decorate cakes with icing and tools.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and proper cleanliness in the bakery area.
