Job summary

ShopRite in Sussex/Wantage is seeking a Cake Decorator to support the Bakery Department. You will bake, mix dough, ice, and decorate pastries and breads, while keeping the area neat and compliant with safety standards.

You will assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations, maintain quality, interact with customers, and ensure fresh, well-presented products for shoppers. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak English.
• Able to lift 25–50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate certain equipment.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager with daily operations.
• Decorate pastries and bread items to quality standards.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe Bakery area.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness and proper pricing.
