Job summary

Stauffers of Kissel Hill at Mount Joy Fresh Foods is seeking a full-time bakery team member. You will assist with product ideas, decorate cakes, manage inventories and pricing, and ensure timely production and displays. On-the-job training and leadership classes are provided to help you grow within the company.

Expect 7am-4pm shifts, Monday through Sunday availability, and a supportive team environment. Weekly pay and a range of benefits are included to support your well-being and career growth.

Qualifications

• Full-time position at Mount Joy Fresh Foods.
• Must be available Monday through Sunday, 7am-4pm.
• On-the-job training and leadership classes provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and implementation of new product ideas.
• Decorate specialty cakes and participate in seasonal cake events.
• Maintain inventories and ordering systems to assist with supplies.
• Mix cakes, icing and other items as needed.
• Produce correct quantities of products based on weekly sales projections.
• Record best selling cakes and notify management.
• Ensure proper production of bakery goods when senior staff are unavailable.
• Clean department area and keep displays organized.
• Operate price scale and update price tags as needed.
• Receive and unpack cartons, check invoices, restock as required.
• Set displays to attract customers and promote sales.
• Process customer orders to ensure on-time readiness.
• Take regular inventory to identify replenishment needs.
• Work around kitchen equipment in hot temperatures.
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons and crates of merchandise, checking invoice against items received. Promptly clears floor of all restocking equipment and debris.


• Sets and signs displays of merchandise to attract customers and promote sales.


• Takes and processes customer orders according to customer request ensuring that product is ready on time.


• Takes inventory or examines merchandise on a regular basis, to identify items needing to be reordered or replenished.


• While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to hot temperatures while working around kitchen equipment.


• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.


• The employee must be at least 18 years old.
