Job description

Position Summary

As a Cake Decorator you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What You'll Do
  • Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service, maintain in‑stock levels, and control shrinkage.
  • Be an Expert: Plan bakery productions ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs, follow recipe measurement instructions, decorate items, ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold‑chain compliance, inventory management, operating, maintaining, and sanitizing equipment, and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
  • Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement, utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training and product quality, with the member in mind, adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date control standards, eliminating waste, preparing for seasonal events that impact bakery volume, identifying member needs, assisting members with purchasing decisions, and resolving member issues and concerns.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Serve as a brand advocate by valuing the members’ experience in Bakery, modeling high‑quality service and products, interacting with associates to understand roadblocks, and assisting in training, developing, influencing, and inspiring them to work in a style that is respectful, supportive, and team oriented.

Compensation

Hourly wage range: $19.00 to $27.00* (actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location).

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
