6. Possess knowledge of basic bakery terms and processes such as fermentation, bench time, proofing, and the effects of temperature variations on bakery items.
7. Assist in ordering bakery ingredients and supplies and maintain inventory levels according to department and store policy.
8. Capable of filling, rotating, arranging, and merchandising displays and display cases.
9. Possess knowledge of pricing, dating, and wrapping or bagging of bakery products.
10. Have knowledge of bakery items, descriptions, and ingredients to better serve customers and answer questions.
11. Handle the complete processing of larger tier cake orders, including taking orders, producing the cakes, and ensuring proper accounting of accessories and deposits.
12. Maintain an adequate inventory of bakery decorations and supplies, and assist in receiving and storing bakery products.
13. Capable of producing other bakery items as directed by the Bakery Merchant.
