Cake Decorator (Food Services)

Uncle Giuseppe's gourmet bakery is actively seeking a Part-Time Cake Decorator for our Massapequa Store. This team member will perform duties related to cake, tart, pastry, and special-order decoration. The role involves creating appealing designs on all bakery goods and providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to our customers, thereby ensuring a positive company image.

Responsibilities

1. Creatively decorate all cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items.
2. Assist with production of bakery products such as parfaits, bars, and cupcakes.
3. Produce in-house products according to daily production levels specified on sheets.
4. Complete production and spoilage records, adjusting production as needed.
5. Prepare, package, weigh, and price bakery products for sale.
6. Monitor product quality, freshness, and proper rotation.
7. Arrive on time, groomed and dressed appropriately; work scheduled shifts and attend trainings/meetings.
8. Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs promptly.
9. Maintain health, sanitation, and safety standards.
10. Keep the workspace clean and equipment maintained.
11. Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure signage and pricing accuracy.
12. Report safety hazards immediately.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
