Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking an Interconnection Engineer (CAISO) to join their Grid & Growth group. This full-time position involves a strategic analysis of interconnection procedures and support for renewable energy projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience with transmission-level interconnection requests and power-flow models. This role offers a salary between $94,000 and $112,625 per year and includes an annual bonus along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in renewable or traditional energy development.
• 2-5 years of work experience in utility generation development.

Responsibilities

• Support greenfield development, interconnection study processes, and implementation of portfolio projects.
• Assist internal teams to complete construct deliverables for interconnection facilities.

Skills

Transmission-level interconnection requests

Power-flow models (PSS/E and/or PSLF)

Negotiation of Generator Interconnection Agreements

Understanding of electrical diagrams

Knowledge of Open-Access Transmission Tariffs

Education

BS in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Power Systems
