Job summary

Carthage Area Hospital in Carthage, NY is seeking a part-time Night Shift Registered Nurse for the Acute Inpatient Department. You will provide compassionate, skilled nursing care from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM in an acute care setting.

Requires NY State RN license and BLS; ACLS within six months of start date. Duties include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care with collaboration among the care team.

Qualifications

• Must have New York State RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within six months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized patient care in an acute care setting using the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation).

A Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical Department delivers specialized, compassionate patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in an acute care setting. Effectively communicates with patients, patient’s families, and other patient care team members to facilitate optimal patient outcomes, while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Establishes priorities for nursing action according to patient’s needs and formulates appropriate care. Performs continuous assessments and revises care plans based upon patient’s condition.

Qualifications: Valid New York State RN License. Must maintain BLS certification. ACLS certification within six months of position start date.
