Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in San Diego, CA is seeking a Central Services Technician I (Cagewash) to maintain and clean laboratory animal caging, equipment and support areas under minimal supervision.

You will perform cage sanitation, load and operate cage washers, manage documentation, and ensure safe handling of supplies and waste following SOPs. Requires a high school diploma or GED and up to six months of related experience; pay is $20.00–$22.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Removes dirty bedding and items from shoe boxes.
• Performs cage and related equipment sanitation.
• Operates washers and ensures cage washing equipment works properly.
• Transports caging and equipment between areas and cagewash rooms.
• Reads SOPs and records documentation accurately.
