Job summary

Flagship Facility Services, Inc. is seeking a Life Science Technician I to support cage washing in an Animal Care Facility.

The role requires experience with cage washing, sanitation procedures, and lab safety; you will follow SOPs, maintain records, and operate cleaning equipment in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has prior vivarium experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision after training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cage washing within a vivarium or similar laboratory environment preferred.
• Experience operating cage washing equipment and maintaining sanitation procedures.
• Ability to follow SOPs and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Clean, wash, sanitize, and prepare animal cages, racks, and related equipment.
• Operate cage washers, rack washers, and other cleaning equipment.
• Handle soiled bedding and waste per procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of cage wash areas.
• Transport cages, equipment, and supplies within the facility.
• Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns.
• Maintain cleaning records and documentation as required.
