Moffitt Speros Discovery & Innovation Institute in Land O' Lakes, FL seeks a dedicated Cage Wash and Maintenance Technician to support the Comparative Medicine Core. This role emphasizes precision, cleanliness, and reliable operation to enable world-class research colleagues to pursue breakthroughs.

Starting pay is $16.50 per hour with annual merit increases, an incentive program, and tuition assistance for career development.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of experience in research animal care, cage wash, production/maintenance, or animal husbandry.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and thrive in an active workspace.

Mansioni

• Operate cage wash equipment including autoclaves and washers with proper sanitation.
• Sanitize cages, water bottles and research areas daily to maintain cleanliness.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance and minor repairs to ensure equipment reliability.
• Monitor logbooks and biological indicators to verify sanitization efficacy.
• Coordinate inventory and stock essential supplies like feed and bedding to support research operations.
