Job summary

Peco Foods, Inc. is seeking a Cage Shop Repairman to maintain, repair, and rebuild poultry cages and related equipment to keep farm operations safe and efficient.

You will inspect cages for damage, perform welding and cutting, use measuring tools, and operate a forklift while working outdoors in varied conditions. This role requires self-motivation and adherence to safety policies and PPE.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated and work well alone.
• Able to weld and use cutting torch/plasma cutter.
• Able to use a tape measure and square.
• Capable of operating a forklift and climbing ladders.
• Physically able to lift, bend, and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cages for damage, wear or safety hazards.
• Replace/repair any damage found.
• Ensure cages are safe, functional and compliant with Animal Welfare standards.
• Adhere to safety requirements and PPE policies.
