Job Description

The Cage & Player's Club Cashier is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external customers. They perform varied cashier functions in a pleasant, efficient, and honest manner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cashing checks, money orders, cashier checks, coins, or chips and TITO’s for customers and employees.
  • Handling large amounts of money, accounting for total funds received throughout the day and at the end of each day.
  • Issuing player club cards and maintaining member database; updating guest records, explaining guest mail, re-issuing lost coupons, and cashing direct mail offers.
  • Explaining loyalty program structure and how to qualify for different levels of services and goods.
  • Promoting all aspects of the players reward program.
  • Exchanging foreign currency, cash coin, tokens, or gaming chips for customers.
  • Performing telephone functions related to central credit, other casinos, and departments within Belterra Casino Resort & Spa.
  • Maintaining accountability over a cashier drawer.
  • Working closely with Executive Hosts and VIP Gaming Services to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Resolving customer service issues and concerns effectively.
  • Monitoring TRU Currency/Coin/BV Levels and ensuring timely machine replenishment.
  • Processing large currency amounts for daily impressments of the Cage, TRUs, and ATMs.
  • Preparing daily worksheets, checklists, and reports related to Cage, TRUs, and ATMs.
  • Coordinating daily and month-end TRU close processes, including drops and reconciliation.
  • Transporting currency and coin to appropriate areas.
  • Understanding TRU and ATM software to accurately enter data.
  • Collaborating with Revenue Audit for accurate TITO reporting.
  • Performing minor maintenance and troubleshooting on TRUs, Jetsorts, and ATMs.
  • Coordinating with vendors for maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Maintaining control over inventory.
  • Monitoring and assisting with slot machine service calls and jackpots.
  • Performing all duties confidentially.

Qualifications

  • Ability to balance bank at end of shift.
  • Ability to cash different denominations accurately.
  • Basic Math Skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise reports.
  • Ability to obtain necessary work authorization and licenses per gaming regulations.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.

This knowledge is typically acquired through a high school education or equivalent, along with on-the-job training.
