POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Cage Supervisor, contributes to the efficient daily operation of Cage activities by administering all Cage vault operations, in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel. Maintains professionalism in all interactions with internal and external customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides increases/exchanges to Cage Cashiers and Attendants, Bingo, Food and Beverage, and Hotel outlet employees.
- Prepares all Cashier start-up banks in accordance with predetermined amounts and denominations.
- Verifies and reconciles return banks from Cage, GMD and Bingo.
- Prepares predetermined banks for all kiosks and ATMs; reconciles machines’ daily paperwork.
- Prepares and performs accurate deposits and necessary movement of Casino funds to/from vault.
- Rotates vault funds.
- Reviews daily bankroll formula and determines daily deposits.
- Maintains inventory of cage paperwork, cash orders, and other negotiable instruments.
- Provides overrides for jackpots and hand pays.
- Maintains complete and accurate entries into cage software.
- Responds to guest inquiries or complaints as necessary.
- Ensures compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Performs as Cage Supervisor as necessary.
- Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
- Goals, objectives, functions, policies, and procedures of Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel.
- Applicable federal, state, tribal, and gaming laws, regulations, requirements, and principles.
- Cash handling, banking, and/or accounting methods and procedures.
- Cashier’s cage equipment, operations, and functions.
Skill in:
- Operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment.
- Analyzing problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions, and implementing recommendations.
- Operating a 10-key calculator and currency machines.
- Addressing customer problems.
- Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One (1) year of cash handling experience in a hospitality or casino environment.
- A combination of relevant education and related work experience may be considered.
- Preferred valid driver's license.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background screening / investigation according to the established requirements below.
- Tribal and Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS
- Must obtain and maintain Hospitality/Customer Service training.
- Must be able to submit supporting documentation of education and training to support qualifications.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license in good standing according to licensing rules and regulations.
- Personal reference check and employment verification.
- Conducts Federal, State, and tribal criminal history in accordance with the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes Gaming Commission Regulation, Part 400.7, Background Investigations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to walk and stand; use hands to manipulate, touch, or grasp; and talk or hear. The employee occasionally is required to sit; reach with hands or arms; use a computer and telephone; and lift up to 25 pounds. The employee may rarely climb or balance; and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee regularly is exposed to dust, fumes, airborne particles, allergens, and/or second-hand smoke; and occasionally to hostile, offensive, and / or violent individuals.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is generally performed in an office and/or casino setting with a moderate and occasionally high noise level. Evening and/or weekend work is required. Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common. Travel may be required for training, meetings, conferences, presentations, and other events.
