Job summary

Silver Sevens is seeking a Cage Cashier to be the friendly first point of contact for guests seeking Cage and A-Play Club interactions in Las Vegas. You will assist with cash exchanges, voucher cash-ins, and enroll new players into the A-Play Club while informing guests of promotions.

Key duties include handling cash and checks, promoting events, and ensuring accurate counting and paperwork compliance with Nevada regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior casino cage or high-volume cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Handle cash transactions, currency exchange, vouchers, and chip counts.
• Greet guests warmly and determine their needs.
• Promote casino events and A-Play promotions to guests.
• Assist guests with checks, vouchers, and accounts per policy.
• Accurately count funds and complete required paperwork for regulatory compliance.
• Operate necessary machines (jet-sort, bill counter, 10-key) to process transactions.
• Follow Nevada Gaming Control Board regulations and internal standards.

Job description

The Cage Cashier is a guest service ambassador, ensuring they are a friendly first point-of-contact with guests who seek Cage and/or A Play Club interactions. They will assist guests with currency exchange, voucher cash-ins, marker issuance and check cashing and also enroll new players to our A-Play Club and inform players of new promotions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for completing transaction such as, but not limited to exchanging cash and/or coin denomination, exchanging slot vouchers and table games chips into monetary funds, counting monetary funds, player account maintenance, new player enrollments, coupon redemptions and describing benefits of A-Play membership to guest.
• Greet all guest in a positive, upbeat manner and determine how to best assist them.
• Promotes A Play promotions and casino events.
• Respond to all guest inquiries in a positive manner. Provide guest satisfaction through assistance, direction, information and More Guest Service expectations.
• Assists guest with exchanging slot vouchers and table games chips/checks into monetary funds.
• Accurately count monetary funds presented to and received from guest and team members.
• Properly and accurately strap, bundle and/or label monetary funds.
• Count all coin and paper money with the use of automated machines.
• Properly and accurately complete all paperwork required by in-house, local, state and federal agencies.
• Properly verify all checks being cashed through the cage by using all established internal standers up to and including checking with VIP lightspeed and Newave systems.
• Follow all Nevada State Gaming Control Board regulations.
• Complete Table Games and Slot Departments fills.
• Complete Slot Department jackpots.
• The Cage Cashier, and all Silver Sevens team members, are More Service ambassadors and are responsible for the positive experience of each guest. QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required. Previous casino cage or high-volume cash handling experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills. Knowledge of Certegy and Newave systems preferred.

MACHINERY USED

Jet-Sort machine, bill counter, 10-key, multi-line phone.
