Job description

The Cage Cashier II position involves handling cash, checks, and gaming chips from patrons, managing department fills, credits, bank reimbursements, and transactions. Responsibilities include preparing cash drawers, reconciling and maintaining accurate records, verifying fills and credits using CTLs, ensuring ticket redemption machines are operational with appropriate currency and coin levels, receiving cash revenues from count rooms, and preparing daily deposits. The role emphasizes providing excellent guest service to patrons and internal staff. Additional duties may be assigned by the department manager.

Compensation

Starting wage is $25.56/hr plus tips, increasing to $26.43/hr plus tips after a successful 90-day orientation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum six months of cage cashier experience required
• Good math skills and ten-key experience required (a cage cashier test is required)
• Additional education or experience may substitute for minimum requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for over 8 hours
• Good manual and finger dexterity
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to bend, reach, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds
• Mobility to climb stairs regularly
• Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment

• Availability to work all scheduled shifts, including day, swing, graveyard, and holidays

Licenses & Certifications

• Must obtain a Class III A license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and Washington State Gaming Commission
• Pre-employment drug testing required; marijuana use does not disqualify unless the position involves driving a company vehicle
