Job summary

Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack in Wheeling, WV, is seeking a full-time Cage Cashier to handle large sums of cash, validate tickets, and process chip exchanges. This is a tipped position with hourly pay of $13.85, plus potential tips.

You will maintain bank counts, perform cash buys, issue and redeem chips, and ensure compliance with department and state policies while delivering accurate, friendly service to guests.

Qualifications

• Six months’ cash handling experience preferred; experience handling large amounts of money.
• Excellent math skills, including addition and subtraction.
• Basic computer skills.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Handle large sums of money including validating tickets for guests, distributing cash to team members for jackpots and hand-pays, processing and verifying travelers’ checks, approving and cashing checks, and cash advance services
• Maintain an accurate count of banks
• Perform regular cash buys to the Cage Supervisor
• Issue and redeem chips; process chip fills and credits
• Follow all departmental and state policies and procedures

The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time Cage Cashier to join our team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a Cage Cashier, you will handle large amounts of cash, cash checks, and redeem tickets, vouchers, and chips for guests.

Please note this is a tipped position; the listed hourly minimum pay doesn’t include potential tipped earnings.

Pay

$13.85 – $13.85 / hour
