Job summary

Riverside School District 96 is seeking a part-time Cafeteria Worker for Hauser Jr. High School. The role involves serving pre-packaged foods, ensuring proper temperatures, labeling and dating items, and maintaining a clean, compliant serving area.

The position offers 3.5 hours per day with health and dental insurance eligibility. A high school diploma or GED is required, and a Illinois Food Service Sanitation License must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Wage is $17.26 per hour.

Qualifications

• Obtain a valid Illinois Food Service Sanitation License within 30 days of hire
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Responsibilities

• Arrange and serve pre-packaged food items according to established procedures and portion control standards
• Set out milk cartons for lunch on chilled areas
• Assure proper temperature of foods and record according to schedule
• Label and date open food products to ensure properstorage and rotation of food and leftovers
• Trackfood for daily production logs
• Maintain and report lowsupply ofcondiments, food items and paper goods to the Food Service Manager
• Follow established health, safety and sanitation principles applicable to food serving and kitchen maintenance
• Maintain food serving area, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition - maintain log
• Able to lift and move milk crates (up to 25lb)
• Other duties as assigned
