Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking a Cafeteria Manager to train substitute cooks for a one-day event. The successful applicant will lead kitchen operations training and demonstrate equipment use, under the direction of the Child Nutrition Director.

The role includes creating a Breakfast/Lunch Menu for training and guiding substitutes through meal preparation, with additional paperwork training as needed. Location will be determined by the selected candidate.

Qualifications

• A valid Wyoming County Food Handlers Permit required.
• Proficient in cooking and food preparation; institutional/commercial background preferred.
• Ability to read recipes and calculate ingredient quantities.
• Functional skill in operating school kitchen equipment.
• Experience as Cook III/Cafeteria Manager preferred.
• Additional qualifications described in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Train substitutes on how to run a kitchen and use all equipment.
• Collaborate with the Child Nutrition Director to create a Breakfast/Lunch Menu for training.
• Instruct substitutes to prepare the Breakfast/Lunch Menu using the equipment.
• Assist with training on related paperwork for substitutes.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
