Job summary

Springfield City Schools in Columbus, OH, seeks a Cafeteria Aide for Fulton Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. The role includes supervising students in the cafeteria, assisting with decorations and behavior management, and helping keep the dining area clean and safe.

The position is full-time as a contracted employee, with hours 11:00am–1:00pm (up to 2.5 hours daily) and an annual occurrence of 188 days. Starting pay is $20.69 per hour, with SEUSS details available online.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Educational Aide Permit issued by the Ohio Department of Education is required.

Responsibilities

Assisting students in proper behavior before, during, and exiting the cafeteria.
Assist with decorations of the cafeteria to reinforce good behavior and eating habits.
Assist staff and students in keeping the cafeteria clean and neat and pick up litter and wipe tables as needed.
Operate and move/ fold cafeteria tables as needed.
Carry out established behavior modification programs.
Assist with recordkeeping when necessary, possibly in the school office.
Participate and supervise during emergency preparedness drills.
Assist with feeding, lifting, and moving students.
Perform other duties as assigned.
