Job summary

Fowlerville Community Schools is seeking a part-time cafeteria supervisor to oversee students during lunch and recess. The role includes supervising indoors and outdoors, maintaining a clean cafeteria, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. Approximately 2 1/2 hours per day, 10:50 a.m.

to 1:20 p.m., on student days. The incumbent will monitor behavior, enforce district policies, and coordinate with staff to support a positive environment for students during meals and playtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic understanding and knowledge of current technology.
• Experience working with students (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Be alert at all times to students and their needs.
• Supervise and monitor students in the cafeteria during meals and at recess either indoors or outside.
• Maintain order in the cafeteria and reinforce cleanup procedures.
• Wash tables after each student lunch shift.
• Inform administration immediately of any serious problems.
• Maintain a safe environment during lunch and recess.
• Enforce safety rules and playground/cafeteria policies set by the district and building principal.
• Supervises students when traveling from lunch room to classrooms or playground.
• Supervises student in designated areas in the event of bad weather.
