Job summary

Phoenixville Area School District is seeking a Recess / Lunch Aide for 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday, to supervise students in the cafeteria, on the playground, and in other designated areas. You will assist with mealtime operations, ensure safety, keep areas clean, and support orderly transitions between activities.

Strong communication and organizational skills are required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to maintain composure and work under pressure.
• Maintain confidentiality about students as required by laws and district policy.
• Experience as a lunch/food service aide is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the cafeteria during mealtime.
• Ensure tables and surrounding areas are clean.
• Supervise the playground during lunch hour.
• Assist with orderly food purchases, tray distribution, and disposal.
• Keep students seated in assigned areas and circulate to assist.
• Organize groups for orderly dismissal from the cafeteria.
• Escort students to and from buses; assist in libraries as needed.
• Report safety concerns or incidents to teachers or administrators.
