Job summary

Amigos School in Cambridge is seeking a Part-Time Hourly Lunchroom Aide (.50 FTE) to supervise students during lunch and recess, organize activities, and support safe, inclusive transitions throughout the school day.

Fluency in Spanish and English is required; experience with children is preferred. The role emphasizes building positive relationships with PK–8 students in a bilingual setting and helping prepare the cafeteria for lunch.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish and English; experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and actively engage students during lunch and recess.
• Organize and facilitate games, activities, and play.
• Support smooth transitions and help maintain safe, orderly spaces.
• Build positive relationships with a diverse student population across PreK–8.
• Communicate effectively with students and staff in both Spanish and English.
• Help students resolve minor conflicts and encourage respectful behavior.
• Support a welcoming and inclusive school environment.
• Clean cafeteria tables and help to get them reset for subsequent lunch periods.
• Help prepare the cafeteria for lunch.
