Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a food service associate to prepare, portion, and serve meals in the cafeteria, following recipe specs and maintaining sanitation standards. You will help ensure high-quality food service for customers and operate the dish area as needed.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and 1–2 years of food handling experience, with the ability to follow written and oral instructions and to work with others in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years food handling experience or equivalent required.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must understand Express Salad, entree and sandwich recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, portions and serves food using proper recipe, specifications and guidelines to ensure the cafeteria customers the best quality food service as possible.
• Maintains appropriate sanitation in service and prep areas to assure a sanitary working environment.
