Job summary

Greeley-Evans School District 6 seeks a Lunch Monitor at McAuliffe STEM Academy to supervise students during lunch and assist with cafeteria operations. This non-exempt, part-time position covers a 180-day schedule, at two hours per day, and reports to the School Principal.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to follow directions and manage groups of elementary students. Applications reviewed starting 09/24/2026.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow oral and written directions.
• Must be able to work effectively with individual and groups of elementary school age children and others.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the cafeteria during lunch periods in serving lines, while eating and during cafeteria dismissal.
• Supervise students outside the building on school grounds, including playground equipment, ensuring the safety of all students.
• Maintain discipline in the cafeteria according to school and district policies.
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of cafeteria.
• Assist students during lunch periods as needed.
• Maintain positive and professional communication with staff, students, parents and other community members.
• Understand the school PBIS (positive behavior intervention and support) and be able to apply school discipline procedures.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time, numerous distractions, visual, auditory and ambulatory acuity important.
• Ability to move quickly from one position to another in response to student needs and upper body strength with the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
