Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a part-time Cafeteria/Playground Aide for Windermere Elementary School in Ellington, CT for the 2026-2027 school year. The role focuses on providing a safe, positive environment during lunch and recess, under the guidance of school staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with children preferred but not required.
• Background checks: state and national criminal history clearance required; DCF records check will be completed as per CT statute.

Position Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

• Supervise students during lunch and recess.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
• Communicate concerns to school staff and administrators when appropriate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children is preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of a state and national criminal history background check is required.
• A Department of Children and Families (DCF) records check will be completed in accordance with Connecticut state statute.

Working Conditions

• 15 hours per week
• Monday-Friday
