Hours vary and shifts run Monday through Friday, reflecting school operation schedules. The role includes maintaining sanitary facilities, assisting with inventory and records, and operating a point-of-sale system as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow recipes, including weighing and measuring ingredients.
• Safe practices for lifting and moving materials.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and supplies.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and personal hygiene rules.
• Ability to use basic units of measure and portion control.
• Familiarity with basic computer software systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation.
• Serve food at appropriate times.
• Operate as cashier or POS attendant.
• Clean and wash cafeteria equipment, dishes, pans, tables and carts.
• Maintain clean and sanitary facilities.
• Maintain and complete required forms and records as assigned by the supervisor.
• Assist in taking inventories and record keeping.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
