Job summary

Focus School Software LLC in DeLand, FL is seeking a School Cafeteria Worker to support meal service for Volusia County Schools. You will wash, prepare, and serve meals, and complete the related sanitation and inventory records.

You will operate the cash register, assist with food prep, bake items, and work as part of a team under the Manager - School Way Cafe. A high school diploma or equivalent and ServSafe Essentials certification are required, with a Florida driver’s license if delivering.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or ability to read/write at a functional level.
• ServSafe Essentials certification must be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Satellite Delivery Only - valid Florida or state-issued Driver’s License, or must obtain within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, and prepare fruits and vegetables; prep meat items; prepare beverages; make salads, sandwiches, entrées, vegetables, sides and soups.
• Prepare and bake bread, rolls, cookies, cakes, and desserts; maintain sanitation records.
• Set up trays and serve food on cafeteria line; assist with luncheons and dinners.
• Clean dishes, equipment, storage areas; maintain sanitation records.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain equipment.
• Check in and store stock; manage inventory and sanitation records.
• Operate cash register and perform related bookkeeping tasks.
