Job summary

BVHS is seeking a dedicated Food Service Associate to prepare meals for patient service, cafeteria and special events under the Manager of Food and Nutrition. Responsibilities include food preparation, quality control, sanitation, record keeping, cashier duties, and ensuring safety at all times.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, basic cooking experience, and strong teamwork and communication skills. The role requires standing for long periods and occasional lifting.

• Keep accurate records for temperatures, equipment, logs, and cash handling.
• Prioritize workload and meet deadlines for catering orHealing Grounds areas.
• Attend safety in-services and practice safety daily.
• Attend monthly meetings and complete required documentation.
• Communicate job function changes with management.
• Ensure cashier accuracy and reconcile drawers and deposits.
• Assist with problem resolution and foster teamwork.
