Job summary

Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) is seeking a cafeteria-style cook at White Sands, NM to prepare foods and operate kitchen equipment, while maintaining sanitation and safety standards. This role requires the ability to lift, work nights/weekends, and pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Resumes must be two pages (or less).
• Work experience in preparing foods and cooking simple foods and short orders in a cafeteria, restaurant, or mess.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food by peeling, chopping, grinding, paring, cutting, slicing, dicing, pureeing, dredging, flouring, or breading.
• Operates kitchen equipment using gas, electricity, steam or microwave heat sources. Disassembles, cleans and assembles components following safety procedures.
• Cleans, stores, and maintains all equipment and work areas after each use and follows sanitation procedures.
• Ensure foods are stored at correct temperatures to prevent bacteria growth.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
