Job summary

Rio Hondo Independent School District is seeking a Food Service/Cafeteria worker to prepare and serve meals in accordance with menu requirements. You will maintain high standards of quality, sanitation, and safety in food production.

This position covers a 172-day calendar, with duties assigned by Cafeteria Managers and the Director. Must have strong reading skills in English and basic arithmetic to handle recipes and production records.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License.
• Understand food preparation and safety instructions.
• Read and build recipes in English.
• Read and document production records in English.
• Cooking experience.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve appropriate quantities of food to meet menu requirements.
• Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Cafeteria Managers and/or Director.
