Job summary

Education & Training Resources LLC seeks a Cook Assistant in Excelsior Springs, MO to assist in center meal prep and routine maintenance. This role involves serving meals, maintaining sanitation, and supervising learners in food handling and storage tasks.

Qualified candidates will have English fluency, ability to read/write, and be ServSafe-certified or able to obtain certification. A valid driver’s license is also required, with potential evening/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

Must understand safety and sanitation requirements for food handling.
Experience or ability to learn proper food preparation and serving.
Familiar with kitchen utensils and equipment.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions precisely.
Ability to work well with others and maintain relationships.
Proficiency with basic computer software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing meals according to menu and student/employee count.
Serve food and maintain dining room cleanliness.
Follow state food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures.
Operate dishwashing equipment and check service gear.
Help move and store supplies and supervise learners as needed.
Support supervision of leisure time employees and work-based learning participants.
