Job summary

This position is located within the Fort Gordon Business Operations Division. The employee will perform basic food service tasks, including setting up serving lines, washing dishes, preparing fruit and vegetables, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing areas as part of daily kitchen operations.

Applicants must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and be prepared for rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. This is an Army NAF position at Fort Gordon in Georgia.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments, and cold items on a serving line or tables.
• Removes dishes and trays from tables after meals; washes tables and counters.
• Prepares food by sorting, washing, peeling, and cutting fresh fruit and vegetables.
• Cleans kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks, glasses, and silverware.
• Cleans and sanitizes trash cans; disposes of trash.
