Job summary

The University of Miami is seeking a full-time Cafeteria Worker (U) in the Department of Food Services at UHealth Tower. You will support daily food service operations, prepare and distribute food items, and maintain a safe, sanitary cafeteria environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning, stock replenishment, cash handling, and following University policies. Strong attention to detail and ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends are required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans tables and dishes and sets tables.
• Replenishes clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes.
• Prepares salads, sauces, desserts, and other food items.
• Operates cash register to compute bills.
• Modifies and issues receipts to customers.
• Washes pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other cooking equipment.
• Stocks snack machines, soda machines, and other retail items.
• Maintains work and storage area clean and organized.
• Learns and follows food preparation guidelines.
• Adheres to University and unit policies and safeguards assets.
• Follows CICARE and ACT standard models for patient and family interactions.
