Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley is seeking a Food Program Lead to provide friendly service in our cafeteria setting. You will serve meals, maintain cleanliness, and ensure CACFP/SFSP information is accurate and up to date.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to support a positive, inclusive club culture for youth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain a food handlers card.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for youth-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Greets members with a friendly demeanor as they receive meals.
• Completes temperature logs to ensure food safety.
• Manages inventory of cafeteria items (gloves, wipes, trays).
• Plates and serves food following guidelines and portions.
• Maintains a clean work area, including sweeping and sanitizing surfaces.
• Communicates projected snack/food amounts for monthly planning.
• Supports documentation for monthly audits with accurate meal numbers.
• Ensures the service area is safe, clean, and organized.
• Adheres to BGCAZ policies and promotes inclusive environment.
