Obsolete Site is seeking a kitchen assistant to prepare and cook simple foods, including hot cereals, soups, gravies, and salad bar items. You will follow precise recipes, prep ingredients, and ensure proper dating and storage of leftovers.

Responsibilities include operating and cleaning kitchen equipment, maintaining hygiene, and performing additional duties as assigned. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Work experience in preparing foods and cooking simple foods in a cafeteria, restaurant, or mess.
• Demonstration of neatness, grooming, dependability and ability to work under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Performs a full range of simple cooking by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing.
• Prepares hot cereals and concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces and gravies.
• Makes cold sandwich fillings and sets up salad bar; prepares food by peeling, chopping, grinding, paring, cutting, slicing, dicing, puréeing, dredging, flouring, or breading.
• Weighs, measures, and assembles ingredients for regular and modified menu items; mixes ingredients according to recipes.
• Covers, dates, and stores leftovers according to established procedures.
• Operates kitchen equipment using gas, electricity, steam or microwave heat sources; disassembles, cleans and assembles parts and accessories.
• Cleans other work areas and equipment; follows cleaning schedule.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
