Job summary

Hyatt Westlake in Westlake Village, CA is seeking a part-time Cafeteria Cook to prepare meals, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and follow safety guidelines. You will collaborate with hotel teams to ensure smooth operations and meet dietary requests.

Required or preferred: high school diploma, basic cooking knowledge, and applicable food-safety certification. Medical, dental, and vision coverage options are available, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Food Handler or ServSafe certification is a plus.
• Prior kitchen or culinary experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following recipes, portion standards, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, prep areas, and serving stations.
• Follow all food safety, storage, and labeling requirements.
• Assist with inventory, restocking, and communicating supply needs.
• Set up and break down stations for each meal period.
• Support special dietary needs or requests as directed.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and hotel teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Cafeteria Cook supports daily hotel operations by preparing quality meals in a clean, efficient, and well-organized kitchen. Your consistency, teamwork, and commitment to food safety help create a reliable and positive dining experience for staff and guests.

HOW YOU’LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE

• Prepare and cook meals following recipes, portion standards, and safety guidelines.
