Pay starting: $20.29/hr. Employment Terms: Full-Time, 10-Month. Position involves preparing and cooking items per menu and HACCP guidelines, with duties including serving, prep for the next day, and maintaining kitchen

• Knowledge of routine duties related to the preparation and serving of food, including cleaning of the kitchen area and cooking equipment.
• Able to understand written material, rules, regulations, and apply the material to the position.
• Customer Service is a major component of ensuring that the students have a friendly environment.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Does all the cooking for hot lunches.
• Helps serving lunches.

• Helps others who need help when duties are finished.
• Ability to adjust recipes, using basic math skills, to accommodate the number of students to be fed.

• Crouching/Squatting: (Frequent) to access food and materials from floor to waist level or counter.
• Carrying: (Frequent) transporting an object 5 to 10 lbs. by hand, arm, or shoulder.
• Climbing: (Occasional) Stairs and footstools and storeroom ladders
• Reaching: (Frequent) extending the hands and arms in any direction.
• Coordination Balance: performing work using Eye/Hand/foot using any two.
• Grasping/Handling: (Continuous) seizing, holding, grasping, or otherwise working with one's hands.

Preferred Requirements:

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole highly desirable.
