Job summary

Liberty Hospital is seeking a Cafeteria Aide to serve café guests, prepare food, and operate the point-of-sale system. This full-time role requires maintaining a clean, sanitary work environment and following HACCP guidelines.

Shifts vary, with weekend and holiday coverage rotation, and the candidate must obtain a Food Handler permit or ServSafe certification within 30 days. Responsibilities include stocking, recording food production and waste, and supporting catering events per standardized

Qualifications

  • Customer service experience required.
  • Food service and POS experience preferred.
  • Clay County Food Handler permit or ServSafe certification within 30 days.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

  • Serve café guests and operate the point of sale system.
  • Prepare food and follow HACCP guidelines.
  • Stock service areas and maintain sanitation.
  • Record production and waste per policy.
  • Clean department equipment, surfaces, and floors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Performs a variety of sanitation and food service duties in accordance with safety, sanitation and service standards.Shifts are from 9:30-6:00 and 11:00 – 7:30. Every other weekend and our holiday coverage rotationResponsibilities and Essential Job FunctionsMaintains a safe, sanitary work environment conforming to policies and regulationsOperates and maintains food service equipmentStores, labels and dates food items; uses the First In, First Out (FIFO) methodologyOperates point of sale systemPrepares menu items for Café guests and catering events following standardized recipes and food production schedulesServes menu items for patients, Café guests and catering events utilizing correct servicing utensil and serving sizeSets up and stocks service areasFollows HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point) principles for time and temperature; records per policyRecords and maintains accurate food production and leftover/waste recordsPrepares pot/pan area and pot/pan washer prior to use; scrapes, soaks, washes, sanitizes and put puts/pan away following established proceduresRemoves trash, boxes and other waste from the departmentCleans throughout the department including but not limited to surfaces, equipment, carts, walls, and floorsPerforms other duties as assignedMust be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.
