Job summary

Sam's Club in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Team Member to join our prepared foods team. You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate colleagues on tools and tasks, and support members with their needs.

You will prepare food per item specifications, plan for future productions and seasonality, uphold food safety and sanitation standards, operate and sanitize equipment, and leverage digital tools to improve the shopping experience

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must successfully complete all job trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: Maintains up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborates with cross-functional teams; educates other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicates effectively with team members; flexible to work in other areas as needed.
• Be an Expert: Prepares food according to item specifications; plans for future productions and mass productions; prepares for seasonality; adheres to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, inventory management; operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment; understands product and layout execution.
• Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; uses handheld technology for production decisions, ordering merchandise, receiving club pickup orders, training, and product quality; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
• Be an Owner: Drives area performance; stocks and rotates merchandise; ensures quality and date control; minimizes waste; provides member service by recognizing needs and assisting with purchasing decisions; handles payment types; locates merchandise; resolves member issues.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Acts as a brand advocate; develops, influences and inspires others to work in a respectful, supportive, team-oriented manner; helps remove roadblocks and trains others.
